Domestic Service in Canada 1929

After a period of post-war economic gloom and low immigration, Canada opened its doors to British subjects.
Between 1921 and 1941, just over half a million Britons left the UK to make a new life in Canada. This was the largest number for any country.
Women were being encouraged to immigrate, and as this notice shows, domestic service seemed to be where the opportunities were in Canada too.
