Family, education and employment history

• Third generation time travelling family, took the favoured route of all the women in the family and became an engineer; went to college for a few years, labouring on a building site to make money, then worked her way up through the ranks of a time machine manufacturing company and did extra study in her spare time to become a galactic navigator too. Ultimately wants to be the team leader. Youngest team member, this is her first big trip.

Issues faced on the journey towards equality

• Clear and confident about what she wanted to aim for, supported by her family in all her ambitions, surprised and disappointed at the attitudes of others once she was in the work situation. However, not easily put off.
