Dash Hansom

Youngest of 4, the only boy; indulged and adored by all. Always gets by on the strength of his pretty face. Not the sharpest tack in the box, drifted through school, never that sure what he wanted to do. Did quite a mixed group of subjects, did what other people suggested: tried space building (family business) but he was all fingers and thumbs, started courses in cosmic hairdressing (thought it would be a good job for meeting girls) but found he had allergies. Actually started medical training but did not have the aptitude, then did work experience in a lunar travel agent’s which led him to training in baggage handling but the work was too heavy till, eventually, he got a post as an intergalactic vehicle air steward which he completely loves.

Lovable, well intentioned, a bit mouthy, not very in touch with his feminine side. Loves a good night out, astro clubbing and planet hopping.

Because he kind of drifted and didn’t do much thinking through or working out of plans for his future, he had a few hiccups in his career planning; took a bit of stick from his macho pals when he went into hairdressing; didn’t get on with the baggage handling team; however, air stewarding was the first job that he went into knowing that it suited the things he was good at.

Tendency to give up too easily, but also doesn’t let on that he’s unhappy or not coping and blusters a bit
